Own it - do not recommend.
Message:The deck has the cool wood cut look, but, in practice, it's oversized and difficult to handle while the brown on brown with brown is difficult to read on the table for those with less than perfect eyes. If you have huge hands and perfect vision, then maybe it'll work for you.
Maybe they just haven't been handled enough to be truly broken in, but the paper finish is very slick and the deck tries to slide off itself.
There's also all that wasted space on the edge. You could get the deck to a manageable size by trimming the wasted space, but that destroys the reversible back.
It's box was cheap cardboard and fell apart the first time I tried to put the cards back in the box. It's now held together with a rubber band.
Let's say I currently own three pirate themed decks (with a 4th coming later once the Kickstarter is printed), and this "Woodcut" deck is the one used the least. If I were to just give away a deck to someone who wanted a pirate deck, I'd let them have this "Woodcut" deck and I wouldn't miss it.
You're better off with the "Tempest Deck" I linked in another comment.
